Present Perfect Tense Exercises to Practice Free

The Present perfect tense is the part of the present tense.  For singular subjects- He, She, It, and Singular object/person, we use “HAS.”   For plural subjects – We, they, and objects/people, we use “HAVE”.  With “I”, we use “HAVE” even if the subject is singular.

 

Use the past participle verb with the present perfect tense –

 We use the present perfect tense

For something that started in the past and continuous going in the present

Ex-   They have been married happily for 10 years.

         She has lived in NYC all her life.

Use the Present Perfect for something that talks about our experience up to the present-

Ex-     She has learned cycling ever since she was 5 years old. (it means she still knows cycling)

           She has gone on an adventure ride before. (It means she has experienced this and the thrill of the ride is still unforgettable)

           She has topped in the class three times and is all set for another test.
